Wow! What an incredible time at our Cultural Open Day celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures in our city. We hosted a ‘Cultural Open day’ in line with the end of Ramadan, celebrating the Feast of Eid and recognising and appreciating a diverse range of cultures. This marked the first of one of our themed Youth Voice events, funded by EA. The event was open to all young people, aged 15 to 24, and we had young people from a range of organisations, and Health & Social Care trusts.
From spectacular Dabka and Irish dancing to delicious cuisine provided by Artseka (including amazing baked goods from one of our young people!) and stunning henna tattoos, there was such a vibrant energy throughout the event! As part of the event, young people were asked to feed in their views on issues that particularly affected them.
