We are seeking a caring and passionate individual to join our dynamic team in Omagh in the post of Youth Worker.

The role will involve working to support care experienced young people who need support with education, employment and training. The post involves group work and 1-2-1 work, assessing and supporting the needs of young people, working alongside employers and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • To assess needs of young people referred to the various strands of The Give and Take programme.
  • To develop and implement a young person-centred programme focussing on employability

Senior Youth Worker Armagh

Description

  • To co-ordinate Give and Take in Armagh, for care experienced young people, managing referrals. liaising with Southern Trust, and meeting regularly with local team.
  • To manage the local Give and Take site to ensure all provision meets health and safety legislative requirements
  • To assess the employability and personal development needs of young people referred to Give and Take programmes
  • To develop and deliver a young person-centred programme utilising both individual and group work interventions which addresses the complex barriers to accessing education, employment or training
  • To ensure the programme delivers on funders targets and fulfils requirements of trust contracts

Description

Include Youth Ireland is currently looking to recruit Mentors for its ‘For You’ and ‘For
You Connect’ Projects – based in Cavan/Monaghan area

FOR YOU – The role of the Mentor is to support young people, encouraging resilience
and personal development supporting stability and positive relationships within the
home. Young people will be offered an individually tailored programme based on
identified needs. Mentors will be matched with young people based on interests and
availability

FOR YOU CONNECT – The role of the Mentor is to support transportation needs for
young people and opportunities to support Access Visits (does require training)
