We are delighted to have been awarded funding from the Aviva Foundation to support  young people we work with become more financially resilient, now and in the future.

The Foundation’s support will help Include Youth support 450 young people within Northern Ireland over three years.

Our project takes a three-pronged approach to supporting the needs of care experienced young people. This holistic approach is essential for young people, as discussing finances alone won’t work. This includes financial education, providing ongoing support to young people, and engaging and influencing the financial services sector and key decision makers to address the financial challenges that young people face.

We know that this will make a huge difference in the lives of young people we work with.

“We at Include Youth are delighted to receive this funding from Aviva Foundation that will be instrumental in supporting the young people we work with to be more financially resilient. This practical wrap around support will allow young people to implement good financial habits that can last a lifetime. By engaging in meaningful discussion with financial institutions and key decision makers, we aim to create societal change and tackle financial inequalities.”

“I am excited to take on this new role and continue helping young people and working with them more around there budgeting skills and any financial hurdles they come across. It can be overwhelming as a young person when you are in control of your own money and having to pay bills on time, I am keen to support young people where I can as they implement this in their lives.”
