Heads UP!

Heads UP supports young people through a 6 week positive mental health programme, one to one mentoring and youth leadership.

Heads UP supports care experienced young people and young people from disadvantaged communities through a positive mental health programme, 1-2-1 mentoring and youth leadership.  The 6 week programmes involves:

  • Group work
  • One to one support
  • Wellbeing and mental health support
  • Exploring emotional resilience

It offers free lunch and travel, is a regional service for young people ages 12-15 and can be delivered to schools, youth groups and community groups.

Heads UP is part of OUR Generation partnership. The PEACEPLUS project will design & deliver programmes to enhance emotional resilience, for ages 9-25 and will lead research in mental health and the impact of trauma on our communities. OUR Generation is being funded under the European Union’s PEACEPLUS Programme. PEACEPLUS is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) and represents a funding partnership between the European Union, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Government of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Executive. The Project will develop and deliver programmes under the theme of ‘Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing’, to increase mental health literacy, enhance emotional resilience, build the leadership skills of children and young people (aged 9-25) and lead research in mental health and the impact of trauma on our communities.
