Our approach to wellbeing

The wellbeing of Include Youth staff is a key priority. Include Youth’s Wellbeing programme is embedded across the organisation, with a team of wellbeing champions committed to supporting all staff with their health and wellbeing.

Wellbeing Champions

The Wellbeing Champions keep the staff updated with tips, activities, and team visits to ensure staff feel valued and cared for. The staff can only fully support and care for young people on the programme if they feel good within themselves. The wellbeing champions support the staff to enable this to happen.

Previous wellbeing initiatives that were arranged for staff, following consultations with local offices and projects:

    • Weekly wellbeing emails to staff with contact details for Wellbeing Champions, access to support services/ organisations and details on how to self-refer to counselling sessions with Staff Care (Employee Assistance Plan)

    • Check-in with each project/area with 2 Wellbeing Champions (twice yearly)

    • Monthly wellbeing initiatives organised for staff

    • Staff residentials

    • One to one coffee meet ups

    • Staff Days

We are invested in employee wellbeing which can lead to increased resilience, better employee engagement, reduced sickness absence and higher performance and productivity.  Employee wellbeing priorities are integrated throughout Include Youth, embedded in its culture, leadership and people management.
