We welcome opportunities to have open and informed debates about the issues directly affecting the young people we work with.

The work of Include Youth is informed by the most up to date information relating to the young people we work with.

Public Affairs

Through public affairs we aim to influence public policy, build and maintain a strong reputation and find a common ground with individuals or groups that have an interest in the work we do.

We engage with elected representatives, civil servants, practitioners, communities, media, academics, children's rights and human rights oversight bodies, business groups and colleagues from the NGO sector to explain our policies, positions or provide evidence on issues relating to children and young people in need or at risk in Northern Ireland.

We try to convey information in a concise, efficient and honest manner, whether submissions to government consultations, answering letters from MLAs, writing briefing papers or by holding one-to-one meetings.

The work of Include Youth is informed by the most up to date information relating to the young people we work with; therefore statements and releases from government, European Institutions, political parties, public bodies, committees, legislation and regulation are all monitored regularly.

We work hard to build relations and a network of contacts within and across different sectors, who are just as passionate as we are about children and young people.
