Young people are supported to have a say on decision-making processes which impact their lives, particularly social welfare & criminal justice matters.

Consultations with Young People

“All agencies should work together – at least all of the agencies would understand what we are going through.”

Listening to young people and taking them seriously is crucial to our policy work at Include Youth and consultations are a way of the young people having their voice heard about issues that affect them.

Weekly consultations take place in the Juvenile Justice Centre and young people in Include Youth are consulted on wide range of topics such as minimum standards for children's homes, the mental capacity bill and their views on children's rights.
