We’re always seeking new employer partners across Northern Ireland, who can provide opportunities for the young people we work with, especially those able to offer work experiences.
There are a number of ways in which employers can lend their support:
Workplace Tours: small group of young people get a feel for your working environment.
Workplace Taster Days: young person gets the opportunity to witness first-hand a typical day in a particular job.
Work Placements: days and hours are completely flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of both the young person and the employer.
Workplace Training: additional unused places on relevant training can be offered to Include Youth staff or young people.
Ring-fenced Employment: employers can ring-fence suitable entry level jobs and we recruit for them and support new starts on-site for free.
'Make it Work' Mentoring: one day OCN Level 1 accredited mentoring training designed to provide an employer's staff with the skills needed to mentor young more inexperienced trainees.
Include Youth can also help employers develop or improve their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy by exploring our partnering and support options.
Activities are then agreed and tailored to the culture and capabilities of the employer’s organisation. Where there are opportunities to work in partnership, we are happy to provide support with any publicity an organisation may wish to do.
As part of a CSR strategy employers might offer:
Employee Volunteering: corporate volunteers can help support staff and young people
Volunteer Mentoring: recruited from across NI on an ongoing basis as part of the Give & Take Scheme's 'Mentoring Matters'.
Pro Bono Work: organisations might wish to offer specialist skills and expertise to us on a pro-bono basis that might improve our organisational capabilities.
Gifts in Kind: there is very little that we won't be able to make very good use of.
Financial Donations: generosity of the business community and corporate foundations has allowed us to improve our services to young people.
