Include Youth staff & young people are running the Belfast Marathon Relay on Monday 1st May 2017.
Please donate through our Local Giving Page.

Young people enjoy experiencing work places, learning about different types of jobs and hearing from all kinds of employers.

The overall aim of #BlowYourSocksOff is to improve the long-term employability of disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Get involved.

Get Involved

A tour of your workplace: small group of young people get a feel for your working environment.

A taster: young person gets the opportunity to witness first-hand a typical day in a particular job.

Work placement: days and hours are completely flexible and can be adapted to suit the needs of both the young person and the employer.

Ring-fenced employment: employers can ring-fence suitable entry level jobs. We recruit for them and support new starts on-site for free.

Mentoring: put your staff through our one day accredited mentoring training, designed to provide them with the skills needed to mentor young people or trainees.

Volunteer mentoring: gain accredited training to support a young person on our Give and Take Scheme in your free time.

Pro Bono: share your specialist skills and expertise to us on a pro-bono basis that might improve our organisational capabilities.

These are just some of our ideas but all other ideas are welcome.

Employers can get involved through our Give & Take Scheme, Start programme, Outreach, Aiming Higher, or employability work with young people leaving care.
