Who's who?

I am of Greek Cypriot origin and a mad Arsenal supporter! I have been Director of Include Youth since 1998; therefore I am ultimately responsible for everything that happens. I love working with the staff, Board, volunteers and of course the young people of the organisation. I really believe that rights should apply for all young people regardless of who they are or what they have done and I am proud that Include Youth works so hard to make that happen on so many levels. I am actively involved with a number of other organisations and groups both inside and outside government to spread our message and learn more.

Responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial and human resources operations of the organisation, with the support and assistance of my incredibly versatile team.

I support the Finance & Admin Team Manager with the financial operations of the organisation. I work every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

You will find me at the Belfast office reception knee deep in invoices and all things ‘Include Youth’. I am responsible for organising events and trying to be of some support to Director, Koulla. I have a flair for writing Include Youth cheques and a great eye for good photos of my grandson Jake.

You will find me at reception in the Belfast office and my duties include admin, finances, statistics and reports. The majority of my work revolves around the Give & Take Scheme, usually young people’s training and placement timesheets, petty cash and trying to understand the database.

I am responsible for all aspects of Include Youth’s public policy work – this means ensuring that our key messages on youth justice and youth employability are robust, clearly articulated and effectively taken forward to create positive change for young people at risk. I am responsible for developing policy advocacy capacity among staff across the organisation and as a policy team we support staff and young people to work alongside us informing, influencing and lobbying decision-makers about how to make life better for young people at risk.

I help ensure that all of Include Youth’s internal and external policy activities are of the highest quality and informed by young people, practitioners, research and evidence based practise and children’s rights principles.

I am part of Include Youth’s Policy Team and my job is Research and Information Co-ordinator. One of Include Youth’s greatest strengths is the fact that our knowledge of what works and of what change is needed for marginalised young people is firmly based on the views of the young people we work with and the experience and expertise of our practitioners. My role is to find ways to capture that information and knowledge across the organisation and feed it through to our policy advocacy work.

I am responsible for making sure Include Youth’s message gets through to the public in the most appropriate way. I support staff and the young people we work with to gain the skills needed to effectively engage with the public and key decision-makers about the issues most affecting their lives.

I am responsible for providing support to those who work with young people by delivering training, sourcing information and co-ordinating our Practitioners’ Forum. I also manage our Young Voices project making sure the opinions and experiences of young people are listened to and can be heard by those who have the power to make things better for young people in Northern Ireland.

I consult directly with young people to document their views and opinions of police and policing; and create an opportunity for them to safely tell of their personal experiences with officers. If the young people want to meet with their local police, I organise and facilitate activities and face-to-face sessions, so they can discuss issues together and enhance positive future engagement.

My job involves engaging with young people to learn more about their experiences to support Include Youth’s policy agenda. I support youth justice experienced young people to be listened to at policy level and provide one-to-one support for Young Voices participants.

I coordinate and facilitate the Young Voices Policing and Community Safety Project across Northern Ireland. This involves engaging with and disseminating the views and experiences of young people at a local and a strategic level to police, politicians, policy and decision-makers in terms of policing and community safety structures and processes.

I have responsibility for the management and development of a range of direct services to young people, as well as leading the organisation’s policy work on young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs).

I am responsible for making sure the young people on the Give and Take Scheme and the New Leaf project are given the right support to make progress while on the scheme and that we make sure our young people feel ready to move on to bigger and better things. I coordinate the Personal Development and Mentoring Programme across all our offices. My job is to support the Give and Take team so that they can provide the best possible service to the young people and their mentors. I also provide feedback to our funders about the good work being carried out to improve young people’s self esteem, skills and confidence by the Personal Development and Mentoring Team.

I am responsible for coordinating the 26-week Youth Works programme in north Belfast, which uses a flexible approach to respond to the individual needs of the young people in the area. The three core themes which underpin the programme are: peace and reconciliation; personal development; and one to one mentoring.

I am responsible for creating work experience and training opportunities for young people in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust area, monitoring and supporting those on placement, and facilitating each young person's learning and personal development. I am also responsible for supporting young people as they progress onto further education, training or employment.

I work in the Newtownards office supporting young people on the Give and Take Scheme, helping them gain confidence, skills, build and maintain healthy relationships while having fun. I also recruit, train and match mentors with young people and provide a supportive relationship with volunteer mentors.

I’m based in the Southern Health and Social Care Trust area and responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteer mentors. In addition, I assess young people's personal development needs and offer them a tailored service according to their need.

I have worked for Include Youth since 2002. I am a project worker in the Armagh office and have responsibility for supporting young people aged 16-21 to participate in work placements and deliver accredited employment skills training. I also assist young people to move on to mainstream education, training or employment.

I’m responsible for helping young people gain qualifications in preparation for placement and employment skills. I also support young people to gain work placements or tasters suitable to their skills, qualities and aspirations. I assist young people in planning their future career, whether education, training or employment.

I support young people on the Give & Take Scheme and aim to improve their self-esteem, health and wellbeing, and employability. I also recruit, train and match mentors with young people and oversee the mentoring relationship.

My role is to help improve the employability of young people through helping them gain qualifications and supporting them on various work experience opportunities. You might find me out on site with a young person sampling a job of interest or facilitating a group based work experience programme.

I support young people on the Give & Take Scheme in the Belfast Health Trust area and aim to improve their self-esteem, health and wellbeing, and employability. I also recruit, train and match mentors with young people and oversee the mentoring relationship.

I joined Include Youth as a project worker in the Western Health and Social Care Trust in August 2008. My job includes working with young people aged 16+ who are not able to access mainstream employment, education or training. My role is to provide a variety of work experiences for young people as well as deliver accredited qualifications and support the personal development aspect of the programme.

I am a project worker in Western Health and Social Care Trust area, based in the Omagh office. Most of my work is concentrated in Omagh and Enniskillen (and the surrounding rural areas).

It is my role to complement the project work on the Give and Take Scheme in Derry, Omagh and Enniskillen through personal development work. I am also responsible for developing the mentoring scheme in the Western Health and Social Care Trust area, which is a vital and important area of our work.

I am responsible for creating work experience and training opportunities for young people on a one-to-one basis, who are finding it difficult to enter mainstream, training and/or employment opportunities.

I am responsible for developing and delivering a personal development programme on a one-to-one basis with young people aged 16-21 years old, who are finding it difficult to enter mainstream, training and/or employment opportunities. I also help to recruit, train and supervise volunteer mentors who will be matched with the young people.

I manage Include Youth’s Employability Services within Belfast and Western Trusts and our partnership with DEL Careers Service. I also contribute to the Give and Take Scheme by linking with and supporting employers to ensure young people have access to a range of quality work experiences, on-site training and employment.

My job is to develop education, training and employment opportunities for young people under the corporate care of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. I develop opportunities inside and outside of the Trust; helping to ensure when young people reach the age of 21 they are in employment and able to look after themselves.

I am responsible for the training programmes delivered to young people on the Give and Take Scheme and the co-ordination of Specialist Support Services to young people on the Training for Success programme.

I work with young people helping them to achieve their potential in maths, English and ICT. I try to link this to their personal development, employability and their understanding of society. Most of them don’t know what they are capable of and I see it as my job to help them find this out.

I work with young people across the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area to help them gain Essential Skills qualifications to the highest level of which they are capable.

I am based in Derry and work with young people to help them gain Essential Skills qualifications in Numeracy & Literacy to the highest level of which they are capable. The aim is always to give our young people skills, confidence and a feeling of self worth about their future.

I work with young people to help them achieve Essential Skills in ICT. I try to make this relevant to their personal development, while they take part in the Give & Take Scheme.

It is my job to make sure that young people have the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in numeracy, using a flexible approach and taking into consideration their individual needs, vulnerabilities and aspirations with the hope that they will grow in confidence to achieve their goals.

I will be working with young people in the Southern and Belfast Trust areas helping them gain Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy. I hope to show that learning can be fun and that there are rewards to be gained from improving upon these skills, which will help the young people to reach their goals and potential.

Recently joined Include Youth and will be working with young people on the Give and Take Scheme in the Western Trust area to achieve ICT Essential Skills qualifications.

I'm part of the Learner Support Team, which offers services to young people both in training organisations and further education colleges.
